Ghassoul will help manage all forms of acne. According to scientific studies, ghassoul clay’s most impressive properties in skin improvement are its capacity of absorption (drawing out oils, toxins, and exfoliating dead dry surface skin cells) and adsorption (depositing its rich minerals: silica, magnesium, potassium, and calcium) due to its high level of ions exchange.

In the U.S., clinical studies have been conducted by International Research Services Inc. (www.irsi.org) and Structure Probe Inc. (www.2spi.com) to evaluate ghassoul on skin conditions. The study results showed that ghassoul measurably removes dead skin layers, resulting in a general smoothing of the surface skin. In addition to the oil removal characteristics, ghassoul smoothes and improves dry skin and problem skin due to gentle exfoliation and re-mineralization.

Castor Oil and Allergies

Castor oil can be used to address allergies.

Dr. H. Pathak, M.D., and expert in Indian herbal therapy, recommends 5 drops of castor oil each morning, taken on an empty stomach in a little juice for relief from allergic manifestations in the G.I tract, as well as with skin and naso-pharyngeal allergies.

The anti-allergenic nature of castor oil was discovered accidentally in a man who was highly sensitive to penicillin. The man had been taking castor oil (reason not detailed) when he was given penicillin by a nurse who did not know of his allergy to it. The man had no reaction. The allergy was gone. There have been some 140 cases of this nature and these are very encouraging.

Dr. Pathak and Dr. V. Birds, reported in a letter that they have used 2-5drops of castor oil orally on a daily basis with children -some with and without castor oil packs on the abdomen. They noted encouraging results in the allergies of children.
