A castor oil bach provides excellent and rapid relief of acute abdominal pain associated with many illnesses, including intestinal flu. It also is beneficial for rapid recovery from viral infections and in the case of hyperactivity and sleeping dissorders.

Castor Oil Bath

Fill the tub with comfortably warm water. Step in (remain standing and dry) then rub pure castor oil over the entire body (4 - 8 oz.). Be seated in the water-filled tub and soak for 20 to 30 minutes.

There are 2 choices for the next step.

1) Carefully step out onto a towel and allow most of the excess moisture to evaporate off the skin. Put on a pair of flannel or 100% cotton pyjamas and go to bed.

2) Using a mild liquid soap or a Ghassoul paste, wash the body gently. It is fine to have some oil cling to the skin as it will hydrate and continue to nourish the body through the skin. Towel dry lightly. Go to bed.

Cataract

A cataract is a pathological condition that affects the lens of the eyes and causes unclear vision. A cataract forms when the lens becomes opaque and whitish and will hinder the entry of light to the eye. Cataract develops due to the deposition of salts and acids between lens fibers, deterioration in the nutrition of the lens, and also due to the disintegration of the lens fibers. Some factors that contribute to the cataract are excessive usage of alcohol, smoking, salt, sugar, vitamin deficiencies, diseases like diabetes, gall bladder disturbances, gastrointestinal problems, etc.

Place a drop of organic cold pressed castor oil placed in the affected eye(s) before bedtime, every night. This is particularly effective at the onset of cataracts and may take many weeks of application for existing condition.

Castor Oil's Cosmetic Properties

Castor oil:
- is an emollient
- contains natural tocopherols
- is an anti-inflammatory
- is the most hydrating of botanical oils
- increases the micro-circulation in the skin
- available certified organic "Palma Christi Gold"

Castor oil is a pure skin care option with no contra-indications for cosmetic applications and can only bring health to the skin. Unlike any other oil, castor oil is suitable for all skin types and can even lend itself as a cleanser. Simply wipe the face with pure Palma Christi Gold (penetrates quickly and completely, not gummy) and then rinse with warm water or steam for maximum results. This is effective for those living with skin problems, including acne, eczema, rosacea, etc.

Castor oil is also excellent for encouraging healthy nail and eyelash growth. It will also dissolve and prevent the re-occurrence of callous build-up.

A study conducted by the University of California revealed that more than 58,000 hairdressers, manicurists and cosmetologists developed cancer believed to be due to their work environment at four times the rate of the general population.

Chenery says, "Parabens are widely used preservatives in deodorants, and they are found in 90 per cent of breast tumours. One study on a woman's breast milk found 300 new chemicals that weren't around 50 years ago. (To discover how permeable your skin is, rub your feet with cut garlic; you'll breathe it out of your mouth 20 minutes later.)"

The chemicals found in many mass market cosmetics are permissible because the cosmetics industry is self-regulated. The government does not require human health studies for cosmetic and other personal care products before they are sold.

In Canada, there are still few existing guidelines for ingredients of cosmetic products, and next to no supervision. This sector remains largely un-organized and Bio Canada (the new certification) has no guidelines for cosmetic products.

Castor oil allows you to proceed with skincare, without concern.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrom (CTS)

Treating Carpal Tunnel Syndrome with Healing Clay

Hydrated Bentonite* warm clay wraps, applied completely around the wrists (about 1/2 inch thick), covered, and left on overnight have a tremendous impact upon Carpal Tunnel Syndrome usually within 48 hours.

Some people have reported increased localized pain and stiffness after the first night's application. However, these same people then have reported a lessening of pain after 48 hours, and complete relief after 72 hours.

Full motor control in the severe cases I've seen is usually regained within three weeks of continued treatment. In two people that I've seen, the pain began to return two months later; one treatment of clay relieved all pain.

How can clay possibly accomplish this? The answer is as simple as it is mysterious. In his article "True Carpal Tunnel Syndrome" (Paul R. Martin, McHenry NeuroDiagnostics, McHenry, Illinois, copyright 1996) Paul writes: "Anything which will promote circulation, help to relieve inflammation, aid in removal of local toxins, and soothe irritated muscles and tendons will help Carpal Tunnel Syndrome."

*Bentonite and Hectorite are formed together and usually from weathering of volcanic ash. Hectorite is also known as Ghassoul, a brownish clay from Morocco; rich in silica, magnesium, potassium, calcium, and other minerals.

NOTE from Palm Pro:
Paul R. Martin's comments lead the professional to consider Palm'Argile green clay/castor oil pack as an alternate solution for treating CTS.
