Castor oil is a pure skin care option with no contra-indications for cosmetic applications and can only bring health to the skin. Unlike any other oil, castor oil is suitable for all skin types and can even lend itself as a cleanser. Simply wipe the face with pure Palma Christi Gold (penetrates quickly and completely, not gummy) and then rinse with warm water or steam for maximum results. This is effective for those living with skin problems, including acne, eczema, rosacea, etc.
Castor oil is also excellent for encouraging healthy nail and eyelash growth. It will also dissolve and prevent the re-occurrence of callous build-up.
A study conducted by the University of California revealed that more than 58,000 hairdressers, manicurists and cosmetologists developed cancer believed to be due to their work environment at four times the rate of the general population.
Chenery says, "Parabens are widely used preservatives in deodorants, and they are found in 90 per cent of breast tumours. One study on a woman's breast milk found 300 new chemicals that weren't around 50 years ago.
(To discover how permeable your skin is, rub your feet with cut garlic; you'll breathe it out of your mouth 20 minutes later.)"
The chemicals found in many mass market cosmetics are permissible because the cosmetics industry is self-regulated. The government does not require human health studies for cosmetic and other personal care products before they are sold.
In Canada, there are still few existing guidelines for ingredients of cosmetic products, and next to no supervision. This sector remains largely un-organized and Bio Canada (the new certification) has no guidelines for cosmetic products.
Castor oil allows you to proceed with skincare, without concern.
